Insurance & Liability Policy for Private Label Customers

NOC Cosmetics strongly encourages all private label customers to obtain product liability insurance under their own company name.

While NOC Cosmetics can provide a Certificate of Insurance upon request, please note that private label customers are not covered under our policy and cannot submit claims under Nature’s Own Cosmetics’ insurance.

Important Clarification

The insurance policy holder is NOC Cosmetics.
Only NOC Cosmetics may submit claims under its policy, and only for matters directly related to products sold by NOC Cosmetics

Private label customers — and their end customers — are not policy holders under our insurance.

Example Scenario

If a consumer experiences a reaction to a product sold under a private label brand (for example, Piggy Time Cosmetics), the claim would be made against the private label brand — not Nature’s Own Cosmetics directly.

In that situation:

  • The private label brand must have its own insurance coverage.
  • The private label brand’s insurance provider would handle the claim.
  • If necessary, insurers may coordinate directly with Nature’s Own Cosmetics’ insurer through standard industry processes.

If a private label brand attempts to submit a claim directly under Nature’s Own Cosmetics’ policy, the claim would be denied because they are not the named insured.

Why This Is Important

Private label customers are the brand owner and seller of record to the end consumer. As such, they are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance coverage to protect their business.

We strongly recommend that all private label partners consult with an insurance professional to secure proper product liability coverage before launching their brand.
